Our Services

At the KIIT Centre for International Arbitration & Mediation (KCIAM), we provide a neutral, professional, and globally credible platform for resolving disputes outside of traditional courts. Our services are designed to deliver justice that is impartial, efficient, and enforceable, while promoting a culture of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in India.
We currently offer three core services: Arbitration, Mediation, and Training & Capacity Building.

Arbitration

Arbitration at KCIAM is a structured, binding, and confidential process designed to provide parties with a faster and more reliable alternative to litigation. We administer both domestic and international arbitrations under our rules, aligned with the UNCITRAL Model Law and other global frameworks.

Key Features of KCIAM Arbitration:

  • Neutral & Impartial: Cases administered under the supervision of our independent Secretariat.

  • Globally Enforceable: Awards recognised under the 1958 New York Convention in 170+ countries.

  • Expert Arbitrators: Panels include former judges, senior advocates, and industry specialists.

  • Flexible & Modern: Supports in-person, hybrid, and fully virtual hearings.

  • Efficient & Cost-Effective: Streamlined procedures and strict timelines reduce delays and expenses.

  • Special Provisions: Emergency arbitrator, interim measures, joinder, and consolidation of disputes.

Mediation

Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process in which parties work with a neutral mediator to reach mutually acceptable solutions. KCIAM’s mediation framework encourages cooperation, preserves relationships, and enables outcomes that are flexible and sustainable. Mediated settlements under KCIAM are legally enforceable under the Mediation Act, 2023 in India and recognised globally through the Singapore Convention on Mediation.

Key Features of KCIAM Mediation:

  • Voluntary & Confidential: Parties retain full control over the outcome.

  • Accredited Mediators: Experienced professionals trained in dispute resolution techniques.

  • Wide Application: Effective for commercial, employment, family business, and community disputes.

  • Relationship-Focused: Preserves business or personal ties that litigation often damages.

  • Legally Backed: Settlements enforceable as court decrees in India.

  • Cross-Border Recognition: International credibility under the Singapore Convention.
